President of AICEP visits Digidelta
The president of AICEP Portugal Global, Miguel Frasquilho, visited Digidelta's facilities in Torres Novas to see the work carried out there firsthand.
Digidelta's inclusion in Miguel Frasquilho's visit during the AICEP Portugal Global roadshow comes at a time when, after establishing itself in the Iberian wholesale market, it intends to expand and find new partners in Europe, America, and the Middle East. According to Rui Leitão, CEO of Digidelta, this search has been "intensive" and the support of AICEP, with which Digidelta has been working for about a year and a half, is helping the company to "achieve these goals more quickly."

For Rui Leitão, understanding the manufacturing process is an important step that ensures the dissemination of "more accurate" information to potential international partners. This view is shared by Miguel Frasquilho, who believes that the roadshow helps to understand companies' motivation to (re)invest in the national economy and to define "how we in the public sphere can become more useful and thus support the activity of companies."
Digidelta's location in the interior of the country, often cited as a negative factor for business growth and dynamism, is downplayed by both. For Rui Leitão, the "labor market in the interior is more dedicated and more secure," allowing for "optimization" of production costs, since "having a factory in Lisbon would cost at least 40% or 50% more."
However, there are cases where greater proximity to customers is required, and this is ensured by the group's facilities in Prior Velho, Santo Tirso, and also in Spain. The founder of the group, with annual revenue of over €35 million, emphasizes that "the company can be located inland or abroad, adapting its services to each condition" and with the ambition to "continue to grow."Miguel Frasquilho believes that the inland/coastal dichotomy "does not apply" to AICEP, whose role is to "support and bring investment to Portugal" and "we work just as well with inland municipalities as we do with coastal municipalities." Those who insist on this issue, he says, "are misinformed," and establishing a partnership with AICEP should be "an option" for companies, local agents, and municipalities, regardless of their location.
